Losing marks on significant figures and units
Small but costly. We mark every calculation for setting-out, units and significant figures from week one.
Chemistry 3/4 · Burwood
From Burwood, the centre is a short drive north via Elgar Road or Station Street. Chemistry 3/4 is content-heavy and SAC-heavy. Our booklets and practice SACs keep students ahead of both.
First week free, per subject. No payment details needed.

How we teach it
Chemistry 3/4 covers a lot of content, and VCAA questions often combine it in unfamiliar contexts. Students who memorise reactions without understanding the patterns behind them struggle when the exam changes the setting. Our classes teach the patterns.
Each two-hour lesson class of up to eight students follows our Chemistry booklet in study-design order, with questions built into every section so students test their understanding as they go. Tutors explain the chemistry, work through calculations step by step, and teach students how to use the VCE Chemistry Data Book quickly and accurately.
Classes run at our Box Hill centre, about 10 minutes from Burwood. Students from Presbyterian Ladies' College, Mount Scopus Memorial College and other local schools all follow the same VCAA study design, so our booklets line up with what's taught at school.
Term-by-term plan

Section A
Small but costly. We mark every calculation for setting-out, units and significant figures from week one.
The Data Book holds more answers than most students realise. We teach students where to look and how fast to find it.
Organic pathways and redox make sense once the patterns click. We teach the pattern first so new examples in the exam aren’t new problems.

Proven results
SAC average 50% → 85%
“Ivan was an incredible chemistry tutor. Each lesson followed a booklet that related to topics on the study design, including questions as you go to test your understanding. In year 11, chemistry was my least favourite subject and I averaged 50%, but starting [with] Ivan at the beginning of year 12 helped me to improve immensely and I now sit at an 85% average!”
Passed every SAC and subject in Year 12
“Ivan is an amazing tutor always helpful with a lot of resources and very knowledgeable on the topic. … Available whenever I needed help no matter what time. Throughout my year 12 studies he helped me improve and learn from my mistakes leading me to pass all my sacs and the subjects.”
“Ivan was my chemistry and physics 3/4 tutor, wouldn’t have been able to do well in my exams without his consistent support and helpful resources. Definitely recommend this company if you’re looking to excel in VCE (much better than the big-name tutoring companies)”

Up to 8. That's small enough for the tutor to check every student's working in every lesson.
Yes, and it’s common. One of our students went from a 50% average in Year 11 to an 85% SAC average in Year 12. Starting early makes the biggest difference.
Yes. Knowing exactly what is in the VCE Chemistry Data Book saves time and marks in SACs and the exam.
